Five Card Story: The Runaway

She'd been running for two years and she had gotten good at it. She has been to three different continents, thirty-two different countries and seventy- five different cities. They have been after her since they found out her mom was pregnant. Her mom died to protect her and she wasn't going to stop running now. She'd seen the palm trees in Los Angeles, the beautiful colours of autumn in British Columbia, Canada, the sunsets in Turkey, the barren land masses in the Alps and snow fall in Britain. She checked over shoulder one last time before standing up and entering the gate to board her plane taking her to her next hideaway. She wasn't nervous and she wasn't scared. This was nothing new to her and she'd done it a thousand times over and she knows she will have to keep doing it if she wants her freedom. She handed her boarding pass to the attendant and walked through the hall and onto the plane. She took her seat and put in earphones and waited for the two minute shaking and rattling that was take-off. Her name is Kasey Gray and she, is a Runaway.
