I was going to see a man about a horse. But I had to find him, and I didn't know if he was real or what he looked like. The alleyways and roadside cafes kept shifting, and whenever I saw a reflection or anything that called into question the logical properties of matter, I hit a wall so solid I could swear it had been there all along. The darkness finally gave way under the perseverance of my movement. And I emerged from it only to find that the man was built into the infrastructure of a fountain that was filled with used-up wishes. Then I woke up.
