Ted looked out at the beautiful ocean views of the Gulf of Mexico. He felt the sea breeze cross his face and smelt the salty, humid air. As nice as the perfect 80 degree weather was, he found his thoughts drifting back to his home town. It had been a long year away from his Montana cattle ranch. At first, he had loved the change of being on the Mayan Penninsula helping with an agricultural mission, but he missed the changes in seasons and the fun that could be found when playing in the snow. For now, he would enjoy eating in outdoor patios in cafes on colorful lined streets but he would look forward to returning to his friends and family. The gatherings might be indoors but he wouldn't feel homesick.
