We were walking in the park that day, my cousin and I, when suddenly out of a flower bush, a young dalmatian scattered. The poor thing was skinny as a stick, frantically looking for shelter, and painfully limping, so we took him home, gave him a warm bath, fed him, and tended to his wounds. We never planed on getting a dog, we already had too much on our hands, dealing with a cat and all, but we just couldn't resist. When we tried to let him go, he came back to us with his unbearable puppy-dog eyes. We permanently welcomed him home with open arms when we realized he was too loyal to say good-bye. My cousin named him Jet and it stuck. A couple of years ago, sadly, Jet died saving me from a semi-truck. Jet was a faithful companion, he was an amazing pet, but most importantly, he was a great role model.
