“Why do we reach for something else, something we imagine as bigger and more prestigious, more controlling - an expert, genre, ideology, history - to make sense of this thing we have right here in front of us?” (Coffeen 11)
“I’m trying to suggest that there are other ways of making sense, ways that are beautiful, astounding, exhilarating, life-affirming, that maintain and even celebrate the wildness of life!” (Coffeen 16).
