about this story
Within each of us there is a longing. A longing to understand. To find some explanation to this fickle thing we call life.
We try and draw boundaries around our experiences and generalize them as a way of making meaning.
But as time passes, we realize our line of site as one human being is too limited. We cannot, in a single lifetime, explain it.
Still, like a child drawn irresistibly to the scent of a fresh baked pie, we come back. We circle around. We nose around for a pheromone that leads us to enlightenment.
When we come full circle, we find out it is all beyond clear explanation. So we pop open a beer and settle down to drink in the mystery of life.
