I felt like I wasn't the right pet that my family had picked. I just didn't fit in right. So I escaped through the hole in the fence on the edge of my property and walked down the dirt roads that led to the main road. Finding a new home isn't easy - especially when no one cares to even look at you. First I walked over to the bay; where I stopped to look at my own reflection in the water. I saw a dog who had a troubled past and an uncertain future. Next, I crossed the bridge. I continued on for miles and miles before I heard thunder; then it started to pour and I had to take cover on the front porch of some old house. I then saw a car pull over and a girl got out and walked me over to the car. We then drove off. 3 days later, we drove into a big city where we pulled up to some apartment complex. She walked me into her apartment and I immediately felt like I was at home. Life has been good ever since then. I have loved the woman and she has done the same for me.
