about this story
I was enjoying my usual afternoon break catching up on social media, laughing at the silly memes people were posting about current events. Meanwhile, on the news, the local press was covering the gathering military outside my building. They were summoned to save my neighbor's cat who had stranded himself halfway up the building on the exterior wall. When my neighbors told me about this later, I realized that while I was spending my time staring at my screen, real life and adventures were happening outside my door. I resolved to be outside. The following day on a hike I found a turtle and picked flowers to bring home.
