about this story

All five pictures in some way are related to nature. Ecology is the study of interactions between organisms and their environments. Environments are composed of biotic and abiotic components. Biotic means living and abiotic means nonliving. For example in the second picture of the sunset, the trees are an example of a biotic component and the sunlight is an example of an abiotic component. Every ecosystem has to have both biotic and abiotic components to be stable and habitable. It is very common to take photographs of something biotic along with something abiotic it would interact with in it's natural habitat, it shows a sense of organization and harmony. For example, a photo of a seal laying on a rock gives the reader a sense of normality because it is common knowledge that those biotic and abiotic components are normally found coexisting together in one habitat.
