The eyelash viper stared at the eyes painted on the house across the street from the window of the pet shop where he waited for someone to realize he was outside his tank. The store was air conditioned to 15 degrees cooler than his tank. He was very sluggish. Nearby dozens of small jellyfish pulsed in their display tank. Frank, the ball python who was popular among children, watched haughtily. As he drifted to sleep, the eyelash viper dreamed of the mountains in his cloud forest home.
