about this story

I stared into the land of the dead. Their readings, the only thing keeping them alive onto the face of the earth only if read by a living soul. I walked onto their path, narrowing my eyes for the grim reaper, of course Death as he is doesn't visit empty graves, no more souls to be found in a home of lifeless bodies. My shadow not my own, but dominated by the abandoned church, a nasty man staring at me from the wall, his cigarette smoke never moving. An insult as it is to the art of Graffiti. I walked on, and on, and as walked like a robot with no purpose and no knowledge of what he is doing, I stopped. My eyes lingered onto brown glass before me, and then they swooped up and my eyes were open again. I was surrounded by people wood and then i realized, Death was there the whole time.
