One of my favorite things to do on a warm summer day is walk to the local park and relax in the sunshine with a good book. When I arrived to the park, I headed to my special spot right under the giant magnolia tree. Unfortunately, though, it also seemed to be the favorite spot of a local dog. It was clear that the dog's owner did not read the sign posted reminding all to pick up after their pets. No longer did my green grassy patch smell of the wonderful budding flower. Instead, it reminded more of a pig pen! Ugh!!! Just when I thought all hope was lost, I spied a construction truck. I asked to use one of their shovels and buried the dog's gift under my magnolia tree. Now, it will smell even more lovely and I can drift away in my thoughts inspired by my favorite story under the cloudy skies.
