about this story

Among all the memories of the countless summers spent at Nana's, Margaret would never forget the vibrant orange sunsets, visible from the small window passed the solid brick wall. Nana was not longer there, and it broke Margaret's heart. There was only that cold place and Margaret refused to associate it with Nana. Now sunsets were distant and not longer, just as her. They exist in a warmer and calmer place somewhere else. Nana was gone and on the table was only her cookies jar. Margaret leaves today on a ship to follow the sunset that would always remind her of Nana and the summers passed.
