I always wondered how to get students more engaged in their learning. I had heard of so many different strategies and how they would benefit me as a teacher. I found that DBI's were one way that always seemed to get me interested. Once the PD was presented I knew it was going to be a race to get to the presentation location to share with so many other educators. They were intimidating and I knw many of them had been teaching longer than I had been. Once there I found that my pictures hadn't been printed for the first stage of the DBI. I had to look at the problem head on and decide quickly how I could find a solution that would make everyone happy. As I proceeded with the PD there was very helpful feedback from the teachers and it was received with smiles all around. I'm excited to share this PD with more instructors now.
