The move was finally over and I couldn't wait to tell my sister about my new loft. I sat down to email her, but a noise caught my attention. I strolled to the window, thinking how lucky I was to have such a wonderful view. As I glanced out the window, a solitary leaf drifted to the ground. To my right was the "mansion" and the reason I was living in the loft. Tomorrow I would start my job there as the nanny for the Johnson's three children. But . . .today was my own and I was enjoying the view, the deer in the garden, and my new sense of freedom.
