about this story

One day there was a man, and his name was John. In the morning, John woke up in his apartment longing for something to do. He sat for hours, thinking, and staring at the vase of flowers sitting on his dining table. "What should I do?" He cried. John looked outside his window and saw 2 PEDESTRIANS walking across the street to school, "I could go visit my niece at her school. But maybe I shouldn't, that might be kind of embarrassing for her." He then decided to take in some fresh air, "That always gives me ideas!" He thought. John walked out his front door and down the steps, looking around, desperately hoping for something to give him ideas. He looked around and saw bushes and trees, a bike, rushing cars, and a coffee shop. "Not much there." He said. Finally, he came across a flower, a purple bellflower to be exact. "I could work in my garden, but I did that yesterday." He whined. John decided to give up and he walked back inside his apartment. Not long after, he heard the loud bark of a dog, his dog, Ivory. Ivory ran up to John, panting and whining. "Hmmm." he thought, "That's an idea! Say Ivory, you've been trapped in this apartment all week! I probably need to emancipate you from this place, don't I?" John went over to his couch and grabbed a dog leash, "Let's go on a walk!"
