Five Card Story: Ed's New Dog

about this story
A man named Ed decided to get a dog for his daughter, Matilda. Matilda had always wanted a dog, and after her mother moved out last year Ed decided it was time to add another member to the family to keep Matilda company. He went to the pound and got a little black puppy to bring home. Matilda was so happy and named the puppy Lucy. However, the puppy ran around the house all night her first night home, so Ed was exhausted the next day and needed to drink extra coffee. Ed decided to take Lucy and Matilda on an outdoor adventure to get some of Lucy's energy out. He took them to the lake and they spend the day fishing. Ed wanted to go on a hike after fishing, but Matilda was too tired. They decided to relax by having a nice picnic dinner in a field nearby the lake instead of hiking. Matilda laughed as Lucy ran around the picnic blanket chasing birds while they ate dinner. Ed was happy to see his daughter laugh and felt he chose the best puppy for their little family.
