about this story

"Every Saturday, I wake up early in my annoyingly small flat. The rent in this city too high, but at least it doesn't look too drab when light hits it the right away. I walk the same path as always, past a quaint and small house. Compared to my flat it looks like a Hollywood mansion. It has a nice little yard that would be perfect for my future dog.

I continue on my morning walk and I stop to look at the buildings. A monument to a time forgotten, where people even made sure the columns were ornate and original. At this same time, the church bells are towing. The structure is towering and imposing. It signals hope for some and fear for others.

I turn the corner and see the sign had fallen. "Unmarked pavement", much like how my life has gone so far. Maybe someday I will leave my annoying flat, get my personal mansion, and make my mark in the world"
