It was the beginning of a warm spring, but things were not how they normally were. Just 2 weeks earlier we had our father cremated and were preparing for a long journey. He always wanted his ashes to be spread on this little pond that we used to go fishing at, the only issue is that it was located across Canada. As we headed on our adventure we were about 5 hours out of town when our tire blew out and we swerved off the ditch hitting a pole. our car was trashed but by some miracle we weren't touched. With my car trashed I took my dad and stuck my thumb out towards the highway. After walking for 2 hours we got picked up by a sketchy white van that was heading in the direction we were heading. Now almost there the man in the van kicked us out next to a dirt road and told me to follow it, hesitantly we did. Amazingly made it to the pond and spread his ashes, it felt almost as Gods plan.
