about this story

Exposition (Setting, Characters, Mood):
It was that special day. His car was finally finished. Tony, a mechanic who worked from home, built his first car and couldn't wait to take it for a cruise.

Rising Action (events that lead to climax):
When taking his first cruise, he decided to roll through the hood and check out some of the latest graffiti. He got out of his car to stop and look at a wall of art.

Climax (highest point of tension in story):
While looking at the graffiti, a man approached him, who went by the nickname, Lion of the Hood. He looked Tony in the face and said, "Why you on my turf, homie? This is my wall and you ain't welcome!" Feeling a bit frantic, Tony said, "I apologize," and then got back into his car and drove off.

Falling Action (events that lead to the resolution):
Tony decided he would drive to the nearby mountain and look out at the sunset instead. He felt he was less likely to invade anyone's space there and could still look at something that was beautiful.

Resolution (how the story ends):
Tony gave his girlfriend a call and asked her to come meet him at the mountain. She said, sure. I will be there in twenty minutes. Once she got there, they looked at the sunset together, as Tony told her what happened in the hood. She turned to him and said, "Duh! Anyone knows that you don't be hanging around another person's artwork. You look at it and then go. Period." Then they both laughed.
