One warm day, Thimblina woke up from her soft sleep upon a cloud of salt in the saltshaker on Mr. Pimms table. Mr. Pimm was the finest baker in the lang and Thimbleina loved eating dinner with him and having fine desserts Pimms had made earlier in the day. He would cover the shaker to protect her at night.

When she woke up in the morning, the shaker lid was off and she flew up and away like a fairy to her see her friends. On her way, she sampled the delicious sweet nectar of the fine daffodil she found on her way to visit new-baby-kitten, and Oscar the dog who always waited patiently for Thimbelina the window. After her visit, she always stopped by the brook watching crayfish swishing in the cool pools of water.
