"Happiness and beauty can be found everywhere," a dear friend once told me. As I was walking around her farm one day, she stopped me and said, "take this spider web for example- a work of natural beauty, yet misunderstood. When I see a spider web I remind myself of all the important people in my life and the ways we are all connected through family and friendship. That is beautiful."
I was blown away by how true her analysis was and I was in awe by her passion. As years went by, I began adopting my friends advice and found myself finding happiness and joy in almost everything. Most importantly, I found myself sharing my friends outlook with others. The ripple effect was amazing to behold.
In the end, my friend's time was cut short. However, the doors she opened for me and countless others taught us all to develop a deeper appreciation of the beauty of life. Her memory has been eternalized by the seeds of wisdom she planted within us. Take time to breathe, find beauty and happiness in life, and share it with others.
