As I sit in my classroom with everything on my mind that I must do, I stop and think of the key things that I must do to precede to the planning and decorating stage of preparing my classroom and myself. There is a million tasks a teacher must select and complete to begin on the first day of school. This week prior to opening feels like I am on the Indy 500 race to get ready. This year feels a bit scary and exciting, but in the end the moment I see their faces, I will be filled calmness and sweet joy.
