about this story

I chose these photos almost on a whim, as most of them were my favorites. They greatly contrast one another with different scenes (with the exception of the 2 cityscapes). As I travel to different cities, I always like to capture my time in that place, but I usually forget to photograph everything of value. It usually isn’t until I see something so different and striking that I feel the need to take a picture of it. These photos represent what I would assume are some of the coolest and most diverse visual imageries that I would come across by happenstance while traveling.
My favorite photo is the graffiti work of what appears to be a man praying. I can’t tell his skin color, but it appears to be black. These speaks a lot of volumes right now with all of the racial inequality happening in our country. I see this as the African Americans praying for equality and a brighter future for themselves and the future of African Americans in this country.
