about this story

Introduction (Pic 1):
Plastic is destroying our environment. Plastic is not biodegradable so it cannot break down and decompose. Plastic can be toxic and release harmful chemicals.

(Pic 2):
It is important that we dispose of our plastic correctly because it is ending up in our oceans, destroying them. Marine life is largely affected, because animals eat plastic or choke on it. It also affects humans, because of fish ingesting plastic and harming the people who eat sea food.

(Pic 3):
There are even more things effecting our environment from our everyday life that we continue to ignore, like the carbon dioxide emitted into the atmosphere from planes which contributes to global warming.

Counterargument (Pic 4):
Although we still see the environment as this place of beauty and growth, like we see in the picture of the flowers, and that there is so much we can save by recycling. That is not exactly true, was it the right idea? Yes. But we are so far deep in plastic, literally, that we may not get out. In order to reverse the damage we have done, more effort would have been needed to be put in years ago. Most people tend to focus on those beautiful flowers and not the reality of what our oceans look like. That is why they are so bad because everyone is ignoring that we are apart of the problem.

Conclusion (Pic 5):

All in all, plastic and fuel are two of the large factors that our hurting our environment, oceans and atmosphere. We want to pretend we live in a pretty place and that we are not destroying our only home, but we are. And if we do not stop soon our environment and our nature will die, and will no longer look the same. All marine life will die, the atmosphere will be unsafe and global warming will only get worse.
