Was an English philosopher his name John locke, widely regarded as one of the most influential of Enlightenment thinker he is a physician argued against the existence of innate ideas(ideas present in the mind naturally or at the birth)by showing how all except "trifling" human ideas my be derived from sensation or reflection(Observation of Operation of mind)and how knowledge to our access it we have to know something about ourselves.

" Bring to mind your idea of white and your idea of black" for example knowing that sweetness is not bitterness consist in perceiving that the idea of bitterness. so the human mind is sort of blank slate on which experience claims that ideas are the materials of knowledge and all ideas come from experience.
