the day started off waking up on a park bench along the river. i don't remember getting to the river last night, but then again i don't remember getting most places i wake up at. i stood up and stretched. i realized i had a blasting headache as soon as i stood up. i went on a short walk along the river, on my way i found a bottle of cheap white wine, some half empty pizza boxes and a smaller bottle of red wine. some memories of last night faintly re-entered my head. i had a piece of meat lovers pizza from the box i had found, a drunken middle-aged woman had bought it for herself last night and had offered me the rest when she saw me sitting on the side of the curb just a couple streets over. i was also comfortably past the tipsy stage. this i remembered, but i did not remember a bottle of red wine whatsoever. i kept walking and passed a lonely tree on my walk. i knew i should have some memory attached to it since i remembered passing the corner store just a couple yards before it. still nothing, i kept walking looking for any samples of food at any small businesses. its hard being a couch hopper at 28 years old. everyone thinks youre a total flop or a lowlife. no one knows that i was living the dream just a couple months before, living in atlanta city in a small, yet roomy apartment. i was evicted because i had fallen behind on too many months of rent. i liked living downtown, but the nice part where the people still say hello to you while walking down the street. i had been walking for quite a while when i passed a nice park with plenty of statues and water fountains. one statue i had remembered. i had tried getting on top of the large, brassy horse a couple nights before as a dare. i sat at the bottom of the statue only now realizing how tall it is. i couldve gotten severely injured. walking down the street i saw a man i had definitely seen before.
