about this story

It was a gloomy, rainy morning, a feeling of sorrow and dullness covering my city. I got ready for the day, and stepped through the front door of my home. I inhaled deeply, and was greeted with smoke and other airborne pollutants, which only made the start of the day feel worse. It was then that I decided to take a walk out of the urbanization I've seen everyday of my life, and enjoy nature. I walked through the alley known for its graffiti, and stepped into the beauty that is nature. I looked up, and saw the clouds that had drizzled rain across the area, and looked around. I saw a variety of flowers speckled with droplets of water, making the view even more serene. I noticed my favorite flowers, which are these small, white flowers that grow in bunches. A smile began to shape on face, as it felt refreshing and relaxing to finally be in nature. A spotted, little creature met its gaze with mine. A frog, that seemed to be smiling. I chuckled, and wondered why I haven't been appreciating this blessed gift.
