Here in 2021, it's still the time of lockdown, of waiting, of uncertainty. But there is hope that, despite facing challenges of health, security, that learning is a goal.
And if you sign up for a class thinking it would be engaging, dynamic, that it would make use of the affordances of technology, networks-- and it just turns out to be damned document or just a textbook, you can still do something.
Close the lid.
Grab a notebook.
Sit in the back seat of your car, with its empty fuel tank, and take a journey of imagination. Where might you go? Do you dream of the open road, the freedom? The need to stop for salty snacks of questionable nutritional value?
The limits are not even in sight. Write your story, and post it out in the world. Write as if noone reads. Just exercise the mind, which ought to never be thought of as "locked down"
