It starts with a boy. And not in the Harry Potter, YA-protagonist way, with his struggle and then friends and mentors and happy ending.
This boy already has the perfect life. Two loving, married parents that give him the right amount of attention. A sister he gets along with. He is taught to respect everyone and he eats his vegetables. He's a good kid.
But he won't stay that way. When the turns 12, he'll have his first heartbreak. The boy he liked shoved him up against a locker. In a different way than he wanted him to.
It wrecked the boy. He knew he shouldn't have placed the source of his happiness on one person, on an image he had of that person, on desires he had. He knew that. But he was little.
