2021 brought with it a new journey, a new state, and a new job --all during a pandemic. While at times, I have felt like the lonely and bare tree left in isolation along a well traveled street, I have also felt immense joy. While the pieces did not fit perfectly together at first, and still can feel a bit like a blur balancing virtual and in-person with work, I have come to enjoy my new home and the free entertainment found in the French Quarter from tourists. For now I have traded dogwoods for magnolias, but I am still unsure how long this journey will last.
