The village prepped all day for the celebration. Once done, they packed up all the food and took it to the park near the railroad tracks. Everyone was excited and celebrated until well after sundown. Adults ate, drank, and enjoying good music and the company of each other after being under quarantine for a year. The children were excited to play with each other. At the conclusion of the night, the leftovers were packed up and parents settled the sleeping children with chocolate smeared mouths into car seats. Everyone was grateful for the chance to be together again.
