about this story

The mansion that sits at the far end of town, so many stories, so many rumors, so many tales. Some stories talk about the slithering creatures that roam the halls and rooms of the house, some talk about the room with all the lights, some state there's a ghost that wanders around, Nobody really knows what mysteries are behind those walls but two curious boys decided to find out. They ride their bikes to the house, getting more and more creeped out every minute. They arrive at the abandoned street and have to walk the rest of the way. As they walk down the sidewalk seeing all the houses that were once full and the big beautiful trees lining the sidewalk they start to think maybe this isn't all bad. They reach the driveway of the mansion and remember why they were there. They get nervous for a moment but then start to look around and see the house surrounded by nature and it's peaceful, they hear the birds singing and the wind blowing, it doesn't look as bad as everyone says. They walk up to the door expecting it to be locked, they twist the doorknob and it opens. They slowly opened the door and didn't see anything they expected to, it looked like a normal house on the inside. They start exploring the halls of the house looking for anything and everything. They end up in the dining room and see a huge buffet of desserts. They all look fresh and homemade, the smell of sweet, salty, and sour all mixing together to make you want a piece of everything. They start eating everything they can and then faint. They wake up outside of the mansion not remembering anything, as they were leaving two snakes slithered right in front of them disappearing into the mansion.
