about this story

Jack Kerouac went on a nature walk through his town, seeing the beauty of creation along the way. He went past rivers, streams, as the morning fog rose every step of the way. He walked through trees, seeing their empty branches reach toward the sun. He thought of how the trees looked in summer, blissful and blossoming green, filling the sky with breathtaking image of God's creation.

He came to the fork in the road where he had to choose. He could walk on, or he could follow his original plan. He was stuck, like jello, unable to choose. He walked on. Ready for the next step in his journey to see where life would take him. He knew he chose right but he didn't know what exactly would come next. Not long after, he reached his destination. Tall archways, two pristine glass doors and dim lighting. His home.
