about this story
The reality is that we are the only ones on whom we can rely. Others are only passing through. We take our paths on our own, making steps on the journey called life in our own free will. It is in our will if we do not become blind and see the light that God has provided for us to move forward. He's giving us options: either let ourselves be trapped in a cycle of suffering, or be aware of how we get out of it and take risks on unfamiliar paths, because life is unpredictable and can be short, so take the risk to live life to the fullest, as Socrates said. Therefore, just like what St. Augustine of Hippo said, "that time is not infinite", and that humans are the ones responsible for their actions, we cannot blame anybody but ourselves for the choices we make.
