about this story

St. Augustine was born on 354 ad in the Roman province of Africa. His mother named Monica was a devout (a person who has deep religious beliefs) Christian, and his father named Patricius was a pagan (a person who worship more than one God). St. Augustine abandoned Christianity first before he became the St. of Hippo just for the more open-minded paradigm of his father, where he became a Manichaean which is an old religion that breaks everything down into good or evil. Then there is this one time of his lifetime where he somehow heard a voice of a child persuading him to open and read a Bible, and at that moment is where the passage of his life changed. Augustine gave up his life to Jesus right away and that made his mother the happiest mother on earth. Within two years after the death of his son who had also given up his life to Jesus, Augustine sold his inheritance and donated all of them to the poor. That is when he started convincing people to believe Jesus and live for the city of God.

My father and mother's religion was Catholic and I've used to attend mass at the Catholic church before, but these days I started to become a member of an Apostolic church which is different from my religion. When I was younger than my age now, I did so many things that I am not proud of. Then I realized that doing those kind of things will never give me a good future, and that is when I started to search a solution or things that can help me to change my behavior or personality. It takes me a very long time on searching that solution, then I met a friend who made me believe in God. That friend introduced Jesus to me, and that is when I started to know Him more deeper, and because of that I started to learn on how to feel His presence. At that moment when I finally felt His presence, I realized so many things and learned things that I wish I do know from the start. Knowing Jesus gave me strength in both fighting and surviving life challenges and problems. It is like a source of strength for me, because I know that everything is under His control that is why I keep on fighting. When I think I have enough knowledge about Him, I started to share my experience to my siblings and close friends whom I think need an advice regarding the difficulty we've experiencing every day.
