about this story

One day, Mike found himself working on his project in a coffee shop, wondering if life was really just a bunch of projects followed suddenly by death. In a moment of inspiration Mike decided that he had enough, and decided to take a personal health day. He called up his friend and went fishing. After a long day at the lake his friend had gotten tired and decided to call it a day. Mike, still refusing to do his work, decided to extend his personal health day by going on a nature walk. He got lost in the beauty of nature, constantly finding new things to gawk at. Eventually, after enough time wondering, he decided to call it a day and head back. Only problem was, he was lost. He went this way and that, desperately trying to find some landmark to show him back to civilization. Unfortunately for mike, his situation only got worse. There had been a large storm slated to come in tonight, and it was about time for the storm to hit. Not lost and alone, rain began to poor down in sheets, soaking Mike to his core. At this point, mike had had enough, and decided that he was going to wait out the storm in a near by cave. Due to the darkness accompanied by the storm, Mike couldn't make his surroundings out too well, so he decided to take a nap until the storm subsided. The next morning Mike awoke to the sound of crashing waves, and upon looking outside saw a magnificent beach that he had somehow missed the day prior. Investigating the beach, Mike saw that it was the same beach that led right back to a popular place he and his friends frequented. With this stroke of good luck, Mike began his trip back to civilization, promising to himself that he would never complain about work again.
