Five Card Story: Baxter finds a home

about this story
Baxter the dog has lived homeless on the streets for five years. Everyday he dreams of eating endless amounts of scones, since he lives down the road from a bakery. He smells the delicious aroma of fresh-baked goods every morning. One day Baxter decided to take matters into his own paws, and break into the bakery to get some scones. On his journey to the bakery, Baxter met a man named Fred. Baxter felt safe for the first time in five years when he was with Fred. Fred didn't have much of anything, except for the clothes on his back. Fred could see that Baxter was very hungry, due to his anxious behavior. Fred then pulled out one danish and generously offered it to Baxter. They became the best of friends, from then on.
