Dante the Dog. A tale as old as time. Dogs are known to be man's best friend. People go through massive grief when they lose their pets. But, what would it feel if the reverse happened?
In 1973, Two cops found a dog, beside a bike with nobody sitting on it. The dog barely had any fat and was pretty much skin and bones. The Bike had a camera attached to it.
"Poor little guy..." One of the cops say as they take the camera and engravings on it said, Property of Kevin Diggory.
"Isn't that the guy that died a few weeks ago in this circus?" One of them asks while the other nods
"Let's get you to the vet." One of them say as they try to pick up the dog but barks at them and whimpers
"Hey, little dog, We're trying to help you." The cop says as the dog whimpers and tries to run away... But he was held back by the leash tying him to the bike
"Come on..." He says feeling sorry for the dog
The dog tried to stand up straight but he could barely last more than 3 seconds. Dante The Dog had been waiting for his owner to return showing off his collar to the cops that contained a picture of him and his owner with "Together Forever" written on it.
"Sorry bud, but he's dead." One of the cops say
The dog immediately sat back down and his ears drooped down making a sad noise.
"I lost a good friend of mine once too you know." One of the cops say "The name's Marvin."
"It was in this same exact circus too. We rode the Ferris wheel and... it malfunctioned. He fell and died because he sacrificed himself for me." Marvin states "His name was Kevin. He was one good Photographer."
"Never told me he had a dog though." He continues as Dante starts getting up
"I can tell you all about our adventures." Marvin says "So, wanna come?"
As soon as he said that the dog started barking happily as they untied him and took him to the vet to get cleaned and healed up.
"Here he is. Kevin Diggory." Marvin says putting a white rose on the grave "Your turn little buddy."
Marvin puts a red rose in Dante's mouth as he walks towards the grave and puts it down
"Good boy." Marvin replies as he gets tackled by Dante and starts getting licked and laughing.
