The promise of human advancement brings both joy and fear. Nuclear energy brings both the hope of an efficient, sustaining power source and a life-ending source of weaponry. One small error creates invisible dangers for generations to come. Children unknowingly breathe in tainted air. Nature, once a source of food becomes poison. Barricades create ghost towns. The horizon offers bittersweet glimpses to the promise of what could have been. Silence fills the air.

(Sorry for the downer...I just finished the series 'Meltdown: Three Mile Island').
