Christmas morning was a brisk morning off the coast of North Carolina. Lights in the warm house twinkled. Outside on the porch waves roaring for the celebratory day. Crashing down hard. Soon we will knock on families door steps waiting for eggnog and children's laughter. The next morning will be bright in remembrance of what was a wonderful day filled with love. Trees will shimmer in the sun as flowers droop. Then we will all head home. Traveling in different directions. The sun will hide behind the winter clouds. And a gloomy fog will settle in. Until next year we all think.
