about this story

Photo 1 ~ Intro:
Climate change has become an increasingly growing issue on our planet for the past few years now. One effect of climate change is poverty and displacement due to homes getting destroyed by unpredictable weather and heat making outdoor jobs much harder.

Photo 2:
A major effect of climate change that will become more of an issue in the future is rising sea levels. Climate change is causing ice sheets to melt and threaten coastal land everywhere along with marine life in our oceans.

Photo 3 ~ Counter Argument:
Another effect of climate change on our planet is more severe storms because changes in temperature cause more frequent storms. For example, Florida is currently facing a hurricane that can threaten homes and lives if it gets too severe. Storms can cost millions of dollars in damages to communities that might not be able to afford it, leading back to poverty.

Photo 4:
Climate change also poses a huge risk to losing more species on land and in water. Some species can adapt to the changes or relocate, but not every species can and that create a risk of extinction. There are already so many species currently endangered and the risk only increases.

Photo 5 ~ Conclusion:
Increases in extreme weather and more climate change are slowly starting to cause an increase in hunger and poor nutrition. Many companies responsible for food production like farms or fisheries can get destroyed depending on weather circumstances. Not having enough food can directly effect our population and increase poverty and displacement even more.
