Five Card Story: THE TRAVEL CAT

There was once a black and white cat named Rose that traveled frequently with her owner. One day, the cat and owner traveled to a beautiful meadow with the most colorful flowers that they have ever seen.The owner quickly realized that these flowers shared a name with Rose. And so she picked a rose from the meadow and plucked a petal and attached it to Rose's collar. During their travels Rose always wore a harness, but this harness was 5 years old. And so as Rose and her owner were hiking up the small mountain near the meadow, the harness being so worn from their adventures loosened and so did Rose from the loving grip of her owner. Rose kept on going, thinking the harness was still attached to the leash in her owners hand, as did the owner. Unfortunately Rose and er owner realized the mistake to late, they were to far from one another. Rose searched far and wide throughout the mountains but managed to be everywhere but where her owner was,looking for her. The owner returned to her van at sundown, worried Rose would be unable to survive the harsh wilderness. But little she knew that Rose had already fled the mountains and it's surrounding meadows, into the same town that they passed the day prior. Rose looked far and wide for her owners comforting, familiar van, but she could not find it. However she recognized one familiar thing in this strange town. She discovered her owners bicycle that she always used secured in the town's small park. 'She's here' Rose thought. And so Rose waited and waited by her owner's bike for what felt like years Rose decided she would walk through the park to find her owner. She looked and looked until she saw a woman walking towards the direction she had just passed. Walking to the woman, the woman saw her and picked her up. "Rose?" her owner said. *meow* Rose squeaked in a way similar to the word 'yes'. So happy to have found her, the owner placed Rose in the basket she had attached to her bicycle. Imediately heading to a pet store in the town to purchase a new harness and leash for Rose. That night, Rose slept happily in the van with her owner, and the owner never let Rose out of her sight ever again.
