about this story

There once was a mother juggling the life of parenthood. Before becoming a parent, her instinct was to read all the parenting books, decide what she would and would not allow as a parent, and have it all figured out to a science. Little did she know parenting does not work like that. At all. Instead, she felt like she was in a tunnel, working through each milestone of her child’s life and figuring it out as she went along. She learned to balance each obstacle in front of her. She soon realized the best parent is the present parent, whenever possible. The parenting journey became freeing once she simplified what was most important for her and her child. It was as if she had made it through the tunnel to open skies and realized the endless possibilities of what parenthood truly means.
