Every day when we leave the safety and comfort of our familiar surroundings, we are bombarded with anecdotes and news stories about the things that are going wrong in the world. You might be thinking, so what? It isn't happening to me, no one tells me I'm doing anything wrong, I don't see how it affects me, I don't contribute to the system of inequities. However, if you were to look at yourself and your place in the world through a different lens, would you realize the ways that silence can be complicity? Would you be able to leverage you privilege into allyship? Sometimes it takes a shift in perspective to make a change in the the world.
