It is October 1st and I step outside to feel a chill in the air. Yesterday felt like summer, but today feels like a crisp autumn day. I look down and see the first signs of the autumn season in a fallen leaf. As I continue to walk, I notice that more colorful leaves dot the pathway to my car. As I hop into my small but cozy vehicle, I am inspired to abandon my plans to run errands, and instead take a visit to Echo Canyon Park to see more of the beautiful fall foliage. As I make my way through the trails, I see two young children marveling at the beauty of the season and the change it brings. I am reminded of the nostalgia of my own childhood and why I love autumn so much.
