about this story

I wake up excited and energized and can't believe that I am in France. The flight here was scary and long but I finally made it to Paris and then all the way to the French country side. My French Family picks me up from the train station and we drive through the rolling hills and farm country and I am amazed how much it looks like driving down the highway in Wisconsin. While driving into the tiny town I spot an old church and ask my Host family if we can stop and look at the old building. I love admiring the old architecture and the stonework. We continue walking through town and I see another old building with beautiful windows covered in wrought iron. My French sister tells me it is the old Library. We walk in and look at all the old books The smell is a little musty so We decide to walk out into the beautiful garden just outside the library. I am drawn to the most vibrant purple flower in the garden and lean down to smell its sweet fragrance. As we walk through the garden I start to yawn it has been an amazing but exhausting 24 hours. We get back into the car and head to the family home I will be staying in for the next month. I cant wait to see and learn about France. I hope I get to tour more old churches and I really hope I will get to visit some castles.
