Five Card Story: The Mantis Shrimp

Once upon a time there was a Mantis shrimp. It was very strong and wanted to explore all of the ocean. But one day it was captured by a diver who wanted to collect exotic pets. The diver used a net to capture it so it couldn’t punch through. The diver then brought the mantis shrimp into a tank in his home. The Mantis shrimp tried punching through but the invisible barriers were to tough for it to break. It kept on punching until the sunset and the diver came home. The mantis shrimp gave up. On the next day, the police barged into the divers home and claimed that he would be arrested for the illegal procession of sea life. While the mantis shrimp was being transported away into an aquarium, it saw the sea and beach and tried to escape but once again the glass was too tough for it. It then, had to live the rest of its life inside of an aquarium. Everyday, tons of giant primates would come and take pictures of it. The mantis shrimp could only ever feel happiness, when it was daydreaming about the sea and beach that it could have been exploring had it not been captured.
