The two men, Paul and John, wanted to try their hand at pasta for awhile now, and on one cloudy afternoon, both of the men had the day off, so they started making the Italian noodles. They laughed, poked fun at each other's attempts at making a noodle, and had a good time. Once they finally made enough for the two of them and a little leftover, they cooked some chicken and veggies to add to the dish. Once they were done, they went to their apartment's patio to sit and eat the pasta, as well as to enjoy each others' company on the cloudy day. As they sat and talked, the topic of conversation moved to the designs on the neighboring buildings that complemented their view. They talked about the structural beauty, the emblems and creatures on the tops of the pillars, and their intimidating yet hollow stares onto the street side. As they were talking, an airplane took off from the nearby airport, rising high above them. They both smiled, simultaneously remembering that they had their anniversary trip to look forward to in a month. It was a good afternoon for Paul and John.
