about this story

Going down the marble staircase, the young goddess was happier than life itself. She would know, her mother created life. She was so happy in fact, that she almost didn’t notice the massive bull about to charge toward her. But, she easily blocked its charge. She waved her hand, and while the bull disappeared, a leaf appeared on the railing next to her. It was an ash leaf. She knew that dying leaf all too well. She had created it for the very intrigued god of death. A mistake of her youth, some might say. But he didn’t matter to her anymore. All she knew was that she loved another boy. But he was a mortal. She was about to tell the god to leave her alone, when he suddenly said something she wouldn’t have expected. “I know about your little secret, honey,” he told her. How could he know?! “You know, sweetheart, your father wouldn’t be too thrilled to hear that you were dating a mortal boy. Does he even know that you are a goddess? Or has he seen past your ethereal appearance, and sudden conjuring of flowers”. He was threatening her. And he was right.“I won’t tell your dad if you marry me. Don’t worry, hun, you’ll see them again next six months. But you must remain with me in my kingdom. So, do we have a deal?” She had no choice. She had to do it. She looked up at the sky, and saw a rainbow in the distance, it seemed so unfit for the situation. But, she knew that all would be okay eventually, right? However, she started to question her decision as she said “Yes”.
